Yesterday morning, no wait, let me go earlier than that.
Two days ago, I drank about three thousand gallons of soda. (true story, bro)
Then I went to bed.
By some event of miraculous grace from God, I was capable of not only going to sleep, but not messing up the bed by dying or whatever from all that soda.
Then I woke up at 3:40AM (roughly) and could not sleep another wink. (Should I do that more often?) By the time an hour had passed, it was nearly 5:00, and I decided I'd get up and do something; after-all, I was just lying in bed wide-awake. So I sit down at the computer and do my regular tasks; E-mail, deviantart, Skype, blah blah blah. It wasn't long before I had exhausted my usual list of things to do. (Come-on, it's 5AM and everyone on Skype is asleep. Except me.)
So I open Steam and browse aimlessly through my library of games. [like this]
To choose one that I had never played before, and had completely forgotten about.
Tomb Raider.
My initial expectations are to see how terribly bad the game is, after-all, I have a very bad bias on it for some unknown reason. It's probably because I've always seen the title as something that adulterous adult males would pursue. I was really unsure if I wanted to be associated with such a title, but I'd also heard good things about this new version, and I thought I'd give it a shot.
I'm glad I did.
This new Tomb Raider game is exceptional. Not only are the graphics outstanding, but the gameplay is brilliantly smooth and it's got a breathtaking story that totally sucks you in. I should have never dared to put this game down, because once you get up from your first sitting with it, you just can't get the same feelings of total awe for the developer's efforts. ...Or can you...
I guess I'll be figuring that out soon. :)
Enjoy this title art.
